Breakfast with Mother Dolores Hart

Join the Holy Trinity Apostolate for Breakfast with Mother Dolores Hart.  From the Glamour of Hollywood to the simplicity of Benedictine life, the pursuit of God’s calling in her life led Dolores Hart down some unique roads. In the 1950’s and 60’s, she appeared and starred in many movies with some of Hollywood’s big names, including Elvis Presley. Her movies include, “Loving You,” “King Creole,” “Where the Boys Are,” “Francis of Assisi,” “Come Fly with Me,” “Sail a Crooked Ship,” “The Plunderers,” “Wild is the Wind,” “Lonely Hearts,” “The Inspector,” and “Lisa.” She was considered one of Hollywood’s rising stars.

But in 1963, Dolores Hart shocked the world when she broke off her engagement and left tinseltown to join the Abbey of Regina Laudis as a benedictine nun, where she has been for the past 45 years. Today Mother Dolores is Prioress of the Abbey, living out her vocation with the other nuns, while she continues to influence Hollywood as a spiritual guide and friend to many actors and actresses.

Join us as we honor Mother Dolores Hart and the work she has done throughout her years in the Abbey.
